From 4 July 2024 we meet in a new location -H.4.0.S at Marszałkowska 64. The day and time will remain the same - every Thursday, 18:30.
The Warsaw Go Club is a weekly meetup of Go game players (Wéiqí, Baduk). We invite both beginners and experienced players to spend an evening together over the goban in a nice atmosphere.
We have gaming equipment, so you don't have to bring your own set. We have gobans in all sizes, stones and clocks. Participation in our meetings is free.
If you do not know the rules of Go and would like to learn how to play, our experienced players will be happy to help you start this adventure. You already know how to play, but are you here for the first time? Let us know and we'll pair you with a player of similar strength.
Our meetings are informal. We don't require weekly presence, nothing will happen if you come to us late or you don't feel like or have time to play the game - drop by to talk about Go, watch other players play or listen to the commentary after the game is over.
We meet at H.4.0.S on ul. Marszałkowska 64 in Warsaw.
Our location is a 5-minute walk from the Centrum or Politechnika metro station. Parking in the area is paid (until 20:00).
Small snacks and drinks can be ordered on site.
The main goal of our club is to promote the game of Go in Warsaw through weekly club meetings and the organization of additional events (tournaments, workshops, lectures, etc.). We want our activities to be at the highest level, and for this we need your support.
We want to use the collected money for:
- purchase of equipment, i.e. gobans, stones, clocks,
- creating a club library,
- covering the travel costs of invited players from other cities,
- organization of additional events,
- marketing and advertising activities of the club.
